We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice.

Information you provide to us

We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for an account, participate in emotional check-ins or reflections, fill out a form, make a subscription purchase, request customer support, or otherwise interact with us. The information you provide may include:

  • Personal details: Your name and email address.
  • Account details: Password and language settings.
  • Payment details: Payment information processed by a third-party payment processor (we do not store full payment card details).
  • Reflection and Behavioral Data: Optional entries and reflections related to your emotional state, behavioral nudges, decision-making habits, and personal investing principles. This data is highly sensitive and is treated with the utmost confidentiality and security.
  • Views and opinions: Feedback, survey responses, and otherinformation included within your interactions with us.
Information we collect when you use the services

When you use the Services, we collect the following information about your interaction:

  • Usage information: The features you access, behavioral prompts you interact with, reflections you complete, and other similar types of usage information necessary to calculate your Principle Alignment Score and Behavioral Insights Dashboard.
  • Transactional information: Information about a subscription purchase, such as description, price, and date of the transaction.
  • Log information: The web browser you use, app version, access times and dates, your IP address, and pages viewed.
  • Device information: Information about the computer or mobile you use, including the hardware model and operating system version. 
Information we infer or generate when you use the services

We generate the following information solely to provide the core functionality of Myndvest:

  • Usage ID: A unique user ID that we associate with your account.
  • Behavioral metrics: Metrics such as your Principle Alignment Score, calm streaks, and summaries of emotional trends and decision quality, which are derived directly from your Reflection and Behavioral Data.
Information we collect from other sources

We strive to collect information directly from you. We may obtain minimal information from other sources, including:

  • Transactional information: Details from third-parties you use to install our app or purchase a subscription.
  • Cookie data: We use privacy-friendly analytics (e.g.,Plausible) and minimal cookies necessary for the operation of the service.

International data transfers

Myndvest is based in Belgium, and our data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt or Dublin). We do not transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) unless strictly necessary for the provision of a service (e.g., a specific sub-processor is located outside the EEA). In such cases, we ensure that adequate protection is in place, such as by relying on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions or executing Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Account data: for the life of the account + 90 days.
  • Billing data: 7 years (Belgian tax law).
  • Analytics data: 12–24 months.
  • Reflection data: deleted immediately when you close your account.
